Dark Bowser is a dark clone of Bowser. In the GoAnimate videos, Dark Bowser is poorly behaved (or in the case of HammerBro101's videos, where he is a good guy and well behaved), he literally loves to be fresh to other Mario characters. In PoisonMushroom2807's videos, he has three daughters named Dark Princess Peach (the oldest daughter), Dark Rosalina (the middle daughter), and Dark Princess Daisy (the youngest daughter).

In the second part of YankieDude5000's "The End Of GoAnimate States (MY LAST GOANIMATE VIDEO)" video, Dark Bowser along with the other victims such as PowerJohn25 UTTP, Trip, Barney The Dinosaur, Iggy Koopa, Count Bleck, Maleficent, Princess Shroob, I.M. Meen, Madame Mousey, King Boo, Mr. Grasping, Toplofty, O'Bloat, Popple, Rookie, Trip's Snivy, Dr. Eggman (Dr. Robotnik), Shadow Mario and Boom Boom all stand outside, waiting for the angry HTML5 moon to land on the GoAnimate world. The moon crushes the Alvin Hung statue however, after the moon lands, the giant explosion appears and all of them including Dark Bowser were disintegrated in a blazing light.

Dark Bowser returns as the main antagonist of The Mario Movie. he toadnapped toadsworth and the toads with the help from dark koopa and took them to his castle but they were grounded after they were defeated by Mario and the gang.
